Join us on Saturday 19th September 2020 for our Gourmet Island Escape. The most rustic of fine dining experiences. Chef George Cooper of Tiller Dining returns this year to prepare our famous Long Table Lunch “On Dirk’s Dinner Plate’. There won’t be any stale ships biscuits, get ready for a true West Australian experience as George prepares a lavish lunch featuring local Shark Bay and Gascoyne produce along with bush tucker and ingredients foraged right here on the island under the guidance of Darren Capewell. To accompany your meal, a generous bar of West Australian wine and local craft beers. George will take the time to share the story behind each course and the local produce used.

During the lunch you will get hear from our hosts Kieran and Tory Wardle along with a short presentation from Ed Fenny of Ocean Park who will share some of the incredible European history associated with the island. At the end of the lunch, you can sit back and relax by the campfire and just take in all of the amazing experiences of the last few days whilst having a chat with all of our guests and special hosts. Expect abundant wildlife as you cruise across with Shark Bay Dive & Marine Safaris from Denham.

Tour Details

Your day will start at 10am at Denham jetty, where you’ll board our comfortable boat, Woomerangee.  It will take us around 1 hour to reach our destination, Dirk Hartog Island Eco Lodge. Following a day of dégustation with George Cooper we will transfer you back to Denham by 5pm.
